Open your project
From the dashboard, click any project to open it. Hit the black Publish button in the top-right.

Five steps, every one inside the Adorie dashboard. No editor or DNS required.

Open your project

From adorie.app/dashboard.html, tap any project card to open the builder. Your site must already be published at least once.

Tap Publish

Hit the black Publish button in the top-right. The Publish drawer slides out — scroll down past the URL + admin controls.

Enable the AI Chat Widget

Find the AI Chat Widget card. Toggle Enable AI chat widget on this site. The config panel opens with default greeting + accent color.

(Optional) Add Knowledge Sources

Below the config, tap + Add text, + Add URL, + Add PDF, or + Add doc for any facts the AI should know on top of your site content.

Save & publish

Tap Save inside the AI Chat Widget card, then close the drawer. The next deploy puts the floating bubble on your live site — usually within a few seconds.

🪐 Plan requirements

The AI Chat Widget is available on Pro and Business plans. On the Free plan the card shows an upgrade CTA in place of the toggle.

Each visitor chat (one question + one reply) costs 1 credit from your Adorie balance. The Daily cap (default 100) is a safety rail — once reached, the widget responds with a friendly "I'm taking a quick break" until midnight UTC.

✨ Want to remove the "Powered by Adorie" footer? Available on Business plan via the widget's settings.

What's configurable

Everything below sits inside the AI Chat Widget card in the Publish drawer.

Assistant name

Up to 60 chars. Shows in the chat panel header. Defaults to "Assistant".

👋

Greeting message

Up to 200 chars. First message visitors see when they open the chat. Defaults to "Hi! Ask me anything about this site."

🌈

Accent color

One color drives the floating button, header bar, and user bubbles. Defaults to Adorie purple #7C3AED.

🚦

Daily cap

Default 100 chats/day. Raise it for a busy site, lower it to limit spend.

Refresh memory

Re-summarizes your current site content. Tap after big design or copy changes so the assistant stays accurate.

Read every transcript so you can see what visitors are asking and spot gaps in your site content.

📚 Knowledge sources, in detail

The assistant always reads your live page content. Knowledge sources are extra facts you want it to know — pricing, policies, hours, FAQs — that may not be visible on the page.

Four input types:

+ Add text — paste plain text. Best for short policies, hours, contact info.
+ Add URL — give an https URL. We fetch & cache the text once. Hit Refresh memory later to re-fetch.
+ Add PDF — upload a PDF, we extract the text.
+ Add doc — accepts .docx, .txt, or .md.

Size limits:

Per-item cap: 2,000 chars
Total cap: 6,000 chars

You'll see a live X / 6000 meter at the top-right of the Knowledge Sources section. PDFs and URLs are truncated to fit the per-item cap — start with the most important content.

⚠️ Long PDFs get truncated. The first ~2,000 chars of each item is what the assistant sees. For a long policy or manual, split it into multiple labeled items by topic (e.g. "Returns", "Shipping", "Warranty") so the most important details fit.

🤔 Adorie site vs. external site — which tutorial do I need?

Both flows use the same widget runtime, but they're configured in different places.

You're here: The site you want the chat on was built with Adorie (it's hosted at *.adorie.app or on your custom domain via Adorie). One toggle in the Publish drawer — done.
Different flow: If the site is on Webflow / Wix / WordPress / Shopify / etc. — i.e. not Adorie-built — head to the Embed widget tutorial instead. That flow gives you a copy-paste snippet.

🧪 Test it before going wide

After saving, open your live site in a new tab. The purple bubble should appear in the bottom-right within a few seconds.

Bubble missing? Make sure (1) the toggle is on, (2) you tapped Save, and (3) you hard-refreshed the live page (⌘⇧R / Ctrl-F5).

Answers feel generic? Tap Refresh memory after big content changes, or add a Knowledge Source with the exact text you want it grounded on (e.g. paste your FAQ).

Wrong tone? Visitors see the Assistant name + Greeting first. Change those to match your site's voice.
